Why I don't see many lc100 on the road?

They are either at the mall or off overlanding somewhere remote. 😁
Actually I live a few miles south of your zip code and I see them all the time, pretty much every errand run.

This also makes me feel much better, it at least not been considered as the dinosaurs. People also love the stuff you love!

True, not many were sold. Also the LX is the only Lexus to out sell it's Toyota equivalent. I have heard that Toyota Motor Sales sold the LX 5 to 1 over the LC. Another big thing that happened in the early 2000's is that a lot of them got shipped as used cars to countries like Russia, Vietnam and Thialand. People in those countries were paying over 6 figures for slightly used 100's.

I see maybe... 3-4 a week, sometimes less. It's usually soccer moms or older folks driving them around. Not to beat on any of you old timers. It also depends a lot on area. When I go up into the mountains or areas that actually have seasonal changes like rain and snow I see A LOT more.

I remember one particular time I was up in a ski town and saw 5 of them on the same road. 3 of them parked, mine on the side road and another one driving right past me.

Not that many in any particular year brought into the U.S. market.

Kind of surprising numbers, I thought there was lot less LCs compare to LXs

When I lived in Texas, there were at least 10 of them between my neighborhood and the one next to me, probably 1000 houses between the two.

Here in Missoula, I've seen about 15 or so of them, most of them are mall cruisers.

More like 1.1 LX for every 1 LC, based on hoser’s chart.
That may have been a stat from the 200s. Or just hear say. I know currently the LX does outsell the LC by quite a bit.

Because the LC is the most overrated 'reliable' SUV. Most died a slow death in the junk yards. :D

Yeah, I think around 1,500 more LX570s sold per year than LC200s, on average.

Come to MT. There's a lot of Hundys around here. No joking. I see them all over town.
I'm in Cooke City, heading to Great Falls now.
Looking to camp in/ around Glacier NP this week.
Road to the Sun sounds good if any hundy/lx dudes around..

We have quite a few in Great Falls as well. I think as they become more affordable they tend to migrate to locations that suit them better. Gas guzzlers in idyllic California don't make much sense. On the other hand they make great winter/ gravel/ dirt road rigs and we have plenty of that here in Big Sky Country.
Cheers,
Scot

as @JunkCrzr89 said - there just aren't many 100s in the U.S. Period. Sales data is clear. Now, the fact that most are still on the road throws it off a bit, but still... there are very few 100s on the road compared to other cars/trucks.

What we are experiencing is sort of like the "Cocktail Party Effect" - picking out your name or something of interest from the noise. If I'm at a party and hear "Steelers" or "Branding" it's the same as hearing my name. I swear there are more Steelers fans in Atlanta than any other NFL team other than the Falcons - because I see them. The reality is, I'm not "seeing" the Packers, Patriots, Panthers gear. My brain is conditioned to see black and yellow.

Same for cars and trucks. We're now conditioned to subconsciously notice Land Cruisers.

Wea can make a game out of this. 5-8 years ago, Nissan pinched off a copious amount of Rogue turds into the market. Count them and the 100 series, post up your daily tallies.
