Question for you guys that have installed winches. What did you choose and why. If you have the ARB front bumper, what Fitment issues and mounting brackets were needed?

I have a Warn VR 10,000b in my 60 and a Warn M8000 in my Tacoma. Not sure what I am going to drop in my 200. All three have ARB bumpers.

I'm running a TJM 10,500 on my Tundra. After researching and reading lots of internet hype, I went with the TJM for a few reasons. It's built tough and tested hard in Australia. My opinion is they use them over there a lot more then many of us here. It's significantly cheaper then it's Warn equivalent.

I've done over 50 pulls with it and so far have no complaints. When my father passed, he left me with an estate as seen on American Pickers with over 14 acres of "stuff". Most of it was farm implements and antique tractors with flat tires buried in the dirt and overgrown with weeds. The winch was a god send and assisted my brother and I in pulling the stuff out and setting it up for the auction.

Very cool story, though I'm sorry about the passing of your father.

I love American Pickers...

What season and episode was that?? I'd LOVE to check it out on Netflix!

I went with a Warn m8000 initially, fits right into the ARB bull bar. I want to upgrade to a 12k in the next few months. The ARB fit guide calls for a m12,000 but I am leaning towards the ZEON 12s. I believe the ZEON will require the relocation bracket.

I have been considering the ZEON...post up pics if you do it! The M's fit like a breeze but not sure about the Z.

Going with the 9.5xp-s. Supposed to bolt right in, have do to the box relocate, will see how it all comes together.

I've been running this on my 4R (in shrockworks bumper) for a couple years. Been very pleased with it and the add on Warn wireless remote. It will likely find its way over to my 200 when it gets kitted up, but for now it will stay in 4R...

Where did you mount the control box? Right now mine is mounted center front on the provided angle bracket, but now I'm getting PCS sensor warnings.

I mounted mine dead center - no issues with the front sensors

That said I am going to upgrade soon to a Warn Zeon 12s - I am pretty sure I will need a relocation bracket for the Zeon

front pre-collision/park assist sensors

Ah! I thought they intro'd pre-collision/dynamic cruise for the LC in 2013.

Regarding the winch, I'd love to hear your review of the Zeon 12 when you get it.

Zeon 12 platinum is riding on the front of my truck. Have never used it thanks to my fancy driving skills. It's nice looking and I love knowing it's there.

I've had a Warn 9.5 XP for about 13 years now. It's been used frequently and under HARD pulls. Used in hard core rock crawling, dragging 6' wide trucks through 5' holes. I blew the motor once, after that it survived 10 years of full submersions and finally got around to do a simply rebuild of electrical connection bolts and switch out the old selaniod control box to the new one and a new drum as the original rusted to unsafe levels.

So for less than a grand from when I bought it, the 9.5 XP has Soldiered on, sometimes wounded, but never killed off. Newer winches have neat electrical features, but I'll stick with simple reliability.

It currently in the 200 series, enjoying a more relaxed lifestyle

I've got a ComeUp in an ARB. It was easy to install: I had Slee do it!

:)

Have you done the upgrade? I am looking to order one for our spring trip but a bit confused as to options

Thanks in advance
