I need some advise from those of you running an ARB front bumper on your 60. Which WARN models fit that bumper?? I though any WARN would work but I was sadly misled. let me know what models Ya'll have behind that beast of a bumper. Thanks

There is a list of Warn winches that bolt in at ARB's website.

But generally any winch that does not have an integrated solenoid pack will work. Some with require spacers. Even something like the xd9000i could be made to work but you could experience water drainage problems within the winch leading to premature failure.

Is there a specific model you are trying to get mounted?

Well I bought a 9.5xi which I found out the hard way is to wide unless I have the arb modified, not my first choice. not a huge deal I'll just install it on the 40. i'd still like to find the right unit that will just drop in and fit as it was intended. I looked at the ARB compatability chart but the text is a touch small or my eyes are not as fresh as I'd hoped.

I am using the m8000 and it fit just right. It is the old style ARB though...

what year is considered the old style or how would i decipher one from the other??

Up untill recently, the bumper was built to fit the M10000, which may only be available from ARB. The M12000 fits with just a bit of grinding--there was an article in TT some years back about this.

An M8000 should fit, but you will need to space the winch out from the bumper just a bit.

I have the old ARB and was led to believe by Warn, ARB and the PO that the M8000 will bolt on (Feet Forward) without any mods at all...

I have the old ARB and am looking to run a winch. Does the M8000 require a spacer? Also, is 8K# enough? With armor, a couple people, gear for camping, water, etc. I would think the truck is pushing 6K#. How much over should the winch be? is 25% more enough?

Not sure about the years....but here is a picture of my 'old'style and a link from here (mud) with the never style... I did not use any spacers on my winch install.

Do you know if the M8000 currently sold by Warn the same size (dimensionally) as the one you have?

ARB made three setups for various winches.
One for the 8274 upright
one for the 9500 and smaller (fairlead opening offset to driver side )
one for the 10,000 and higher ( fairlead opening offset to the passenger)
If you bought this used and is an older bumper there may not be enough offset the accomodate the motor. Warn changed to a larger motor and it took buper builders a while to change over

Not sure, I bought mine ~1 year ago...

New style ARB: Warn 9.5 XP fits beautifully.
