I got SPCs when they were cool. That was 100,000 miles ago. I wouldn't complain if they were great until now; they've kinda sucked most of the time - transitioning from squeaky to bangy (sorry for the technical terms).

What's everyone liking these day?

OEM; 300,000 miles or more. I got 320,000 on mine before they were replaced.

SPC is still the way to go for lifted (bigger tire) applications IMO. Your complaint about the squeak and bang are most likely attributed to worn ball joint(s). The SPC upper ball joints do wear out quickly when wheeled hard, but they are readily available and they do not require any special tools or presses to replace. That cannot be said for the other available offerings. An SPC upper BJ can be swapped out in the mud on the side of a trail in about 20 minutes. Keep a spare in your truck.

Yep. I would still go SPC. Their ball joints are on the weak side but easy to swap, albeit overpriced. Unless you’re running stock height, then definitely go OEM.

I have SPC as well, but I've decided if these newly acquired, 3rd Gen sealed UBJ assemblies poop the bed too quickly I'm gonna bite the bullet
and go with the fixed UBJ Trail Tailor units that I believe are preset at 3º of extra adjustment.

It is worth noting that Cruiser Patch now offers "lockout plates" for SPC UCAs to keep the whole UBJ assembly from shifting due to big hits.

Spc I replaced the poly bushings with their new style, that eliminated the squealing and greasing problems, after I replaced the defective ball joints.

I have no experience with them on yet, but I ordered Dobinson UCAs. Waiting for my Cruiser Patch AHC over-size torsion bars before I start on my refresh/lift.
