which taps and dies?

Was going through some stuff in my shop at school today, found this set I didn't even know I had:

I buy tools when I need them because buying everything at random is only for the :princess:
So a long waiting time and of course wrong delivery address when in a hurry ordering at a shabby website :bang:
And I end up with a 20 piece set of helicoil when I only need one.

I wish I had bought the thread measure tool 30 years ago: at least you know what you are working with and what you need and what is in the old bolts and nuts box.
Ordered some drills that should come with a tap set (see drill chart: 10.8 mm for 12x1.25) but the whole set is about 500 dollars.

So maybe there is more value in preventing breaking stuff and using proper time and oil and heating tools like the old microwave trick to make bolts redhot.

Also it is very handy to find a school explanation about tapping, I just learned that way that an open round split die can be adjusted to a bigger size with the 3th screw in a prewinder. (round split die)
