Try and resist your urge to call me a dip**** :flipoff2:
I need some parts for a birf job and other stuff for this upcoming weekend. Should have called CDAN last week, hence the :flipoff2:. This guy has racked up some wicked vacation time! So the question.. Do I trust anyone else OTHER than CDAN for the correct Toyota parts for the jobs at the correct prices? CDAN, has your infinite wisdom trickled down to anyone else in your department? Anyone's opinion on this.. other than don't wait unti last minute to order?

Thanks trapper. That's what I need!

Good luck. I ordered some stuff from there yesterday and it was not a pleasant experience. Makes me appreciate what a true professional CDan is.

Can Cdan get Lexus parts not pertaining to an LX450? I need some OEM Lexus parts and really like the Mud discount.

This feels like a rollercoaster already. Line's busy. Come on.. It can't be that bad. Not worried about the ordering as much as getting the right stuff.

NOT pertaining to the LX450 would mean the part is the exact same thing, so yes. Now, for specific things like certain body panels, headlights and other stuff (mostly cosmetic) that is different, I don't think so.

CDan is awesome to call and talk to! He knows more about these rigs than most of us do, so you know you'll get the right part even if you aren't exactly sure what you need. If you're ordering basic stuff, you may as well call anyone at that dealership, they apparently all give the same discount to 'MUD members. American Toyota must love this forum, I wonder how much we collectively spend with them each year.

Leave a number, he will call back (always does :)).

If HE is CDAN, he's not back til next week.

Dan has https://forum.ih8mud.com/ih8mud-com-vendor-marketplace/368552-gone-fishing.html

It's time for the annual family trip to Mexico. I will be out of the office from 3-13 through 3-21.
I will have my mail box closed while I'm away and my phone will take messages that I will return when I get back in the office.

If you have an emergency need our remaining staff will still be available but they will be short-handed and very busy with our normal local business traffic. Please be patient.

 Dan.

Out with his bottomless duffle bag of Toyota replacement parts saving Earth from broken and illmaintained LCs with a jolly smile on his face.

"gotmud" is another good source for OEM Toyota parts. I send him a pm of my list and replies w/ a total. I Paypal him the $ and then he ships my parts out for free. Done.:)

Appreciated the info. This is my first Birf service, and could use the parts expertise of a seasoned professional. Credit card's waiting. Lookn for the seasoning. Need to make this a two day max event. Don't want to find that I'm missing anything I can't get locally fast.

I ment like other lexus cars(LS400)

I can't speak for him on what he's able to offer the deal on, but I know that many more of the LS400 parts will be unique to Lexus in comparison to the LX450. If you can find out that a certain LS400 part is shared by a particular Toyota model, I'm sure ordering from a Toyota dealer would be no big deal.

That might work I kind of just wanted a case of oil filters and the crush washers for the drain plug and for the rear diff and trans plug, Brake pads, spark plugs and wires...

Checked out Cruiser Outfitters Knuckle Rebuild Kits. Looks fine. Anyone with knowledge of comparative pricing with these kits and American Toyota? The real dilema is the other parts PCV stuff, 100 series pads, etc. that I would like to show up all at the same time. Also need trunnion races and axle clips for swapping the birfs.

Folks, you have to realize that we are a very busy parts department attached to a dealership (dealing with lots of issues with the Toyota recalls as of late).

We are very busy and cannot immediately accomodate your needs. Also, many of the other folks here are not Land Cruiser experts--they are better than most--but nothing like Dan. And Dan devotes a good portion of his day to assist all of you. My main job is in the warehouse, so I have to do all of my warehouse duties on top of assisting customers.

We are working as hard as possible to accommodate everyone. I took many orders yesterday and so did the other folks here, but we can only do so much between our tech. orders, walk in customers, and our commercial business.

Please be patient and we will get to all of you. Lots of the guys are forwarding your phone calls to me, which is fine, but then again, I haven't been working for Toyota for 30 years like Dan. So, a bit of understanding will go a long way.

Thanks for your business. Regularly SKD CDan activities will be back on Monday.
