If it were about 60 degrees warmer I'd try it myself, but I can't wait that long. Any recommendations for where to get a complete Birfield/seal service (probably need one birfield, too, according to dealer) for my '95 with 101k mikes? Thanks for any ideas- I'm in the Appleton-Oshkosh area.
rumor has it there is a tech session coming on the 80 series....especially since I just purchased one myself and am bringing it back from TX on the 14th. Granted, it's too damn cold here, but unless they are DESPARATELY bad, another few weeks shouldn't hurt much....
also, you've been added to the WI corner in the clubs area.... (or, will be once I'm done posting....)
OEM you can get from Cdan and I'm selling some of my stock as well. You can also get longfields as mentioned in the vendor section and you can get newfields etc too.
Hopefully soon we'll have a greatly detailed, pic by pic run of the process.
Drive it down to Chi-town and I'll do 'em for a birf seal kit on my 60. If you can wait until I get around to doing mine, you can do it in the shop for free.
Can I get added to the Wisconsin corner of the club area? not sure what that means but sounds cool.
I just did my own birfield repack first time, if you can , do it yourself, otherwise I am not sure, not the dealer, outrageous pricing for half the job.
