what those guys have said, but during sales, I also order from Ourisman and Serra Toyota (dealerships that seem to have better online pricing than most)

I'm happy to unload the Parts Cannon on my LX because I'm hoping to have it for a very long time, and so I've ordered a lot of parts. The following is my experience:

Ourisman consistently has the best regular (i.e. not a "special sale" deal) prices in the US, IMO. They're my go-to for maintenance parts and small hardware/brackets/misc/etc.

Impex Japan has great prices on some things -- but not everything -- and their prices sway with the dollar/yen exchange rate. (I've ordered globes, front/rear control arms, muffler, and a few other large items from Impex.)

Serra has occasional sale events, like the 25% sale that ended last week. Sadly I didn't order anything because I'm so far behind on installing the new OEM parts (and aftermarket stuff like bumper and sliders) that I've ordered over the last year or so, ha.

My local dealer will most of the time match online prices.

But i do like Amayama and toyotapartsdeal.com.

They need to take Toyota Parts Deal off that site. They don't actually have most of what they say in stock. You will get burned by them.

Roger that, lesson learned! Will avoid moving forward. Thanks
No problem. I found this out when dealing with them a few years ago and had a conversation with someone that worked there that I was able to get on the phone. She gave me the honest lowdown and listed all the sites they managed when I asked. She basically said they dont have a clue about anything they sell, and there is no technical service available, and returns or a change to an order are a complete hassle. I thanked her for letting me know to avoid them. I have no issues with mistakes, and slow to ship orders, but zero service in a day when all we have is choice does not get my spend. Maybe if someone could find a way to limit our choices and make us rely on these lazy sham worthless digital brokers....I kid I kid.

After having bought in the region of $10-12K of bits in the past few months, I can say with experience: buy from somewhere with accountability.

The usual 'broker' sites are good when it's good but actually not good if there is an issue, and are borderline uncontactable (Partsouq, Amayama)

I've ordered 250USD equivalent of parts from Partsouq on Thursday evening and paid the extra charge on each item for 24 hour dispatch because it's urgent (totalling about 80USD extra), it'll be 72 hours since ordering later today, still not dispatched and they have finally responded to me:

No clarification around timelines, no apology, no acknowledgement to refund the rush fee I've paid, all round pretty poor.

I can say on the other hand that my experience of Dave Stedman @ Japan4x4 has been excellent.

I dropped about 6-7K in one parts order with him earlier this year and he got it all sorted, it's great being able to email someone or call them and they are always on hand to sort stuff out.

After this experience with Partsouq it's really put me off and I've decided to not order some other bits from them I had in the basket, and just go with Dave Stedman from now on.

So far i have been using rockauto for most things. They seem to be the cheapest and i have yet to have an issues with them.
