Got a call from the machine shop and the head is warped .045" Is there a preferred dealer on the forum (or vendor) to get the best price for a new head? Looking at part number 11101-69107.

How are these guys determining your heads warped? I have had over 10 rebuilt by my machine shop and never ran into a warped head? I have heads that had excessive electrolysis and could not be saved. Also when ordering a new head that does not come with valves, springs, cams and so on. It will take some effort to get your valve clearance with a new head and old parts.

It was obviously over heated, #3 cylinder had a significant amount of erosion in the combustion chamber. I knew it had a blown head gasket when I bought it, so it was a gamble on my part.

That sucks bad luck I guess. I sell rebuilt used heads but am currently out of them, waiting on the machine shop to finish some Up.

I've seen plenty warped up to .007 or so no big deal to mill but .045 is wild i can't believe it ran at all.

may have a wapred block too if it was that bad, make sure you check to see if its flat enough. and check for melted pistons, scored walls. must of been HOT

Machine shop said block was fine (thankfully) I was expecting some issues with #3 cylinder
