Where is this hose supposed to connect?
What is it called?

Isn't that supposed to connect to the carb at the spot that's plugged in your first photo?

Positive crankcase valve, connects to the plugged fitting at the carb base.

I’m also betting you need to invest in a new PCV and grommet ... they both look old and the grommet is cracked.

Thanks. So that answered my next question about the plugged hose at the carb.
The connections are different sizes- about 3/8” at PcV and 1/2” at carb. Some sort of size transition available?
