OUCH!

New ring and pinon?

Good work on the carnage!! Do you have an anti-wrap bar?

It will have one when it goes back together... I have had a number of people watch and tell me there was not any axle wrap when they would watch... I'm sure there was a couple other things that didn't help the situation... tried a lower psi in my tires than i had been running, i found my ubolts not quite as tight as they should have been... It also broke the welds on my perches and spun the 3rd up and when we drug it off the waterfall it spun it back down towards the ground, which was a good thing because all the pieces fell into the nose of the 3rd... i pulled the lock rite out and was able to front wheel drive almost all the way back to the trailer... only had to stop 1x to slide the axles back in a little... I got a line on a 80 FF axle if i can get the cash together to go get it...

The new parts are at JimC's just waiting for me to get up there with the 3rd member...

OUCH!

New ring and pinon?

yeap new R&P and install kit... My gears were a month out of warranty :bang:...

The only thing that was re-usable in this picture were the 12 ring gear bolts. Everything else went on the scrap pile: mashed carrier, distorted housing, trashed R&P, bearings....

WOW! Only the bolts were reusable. Chris, maybe you can add the phrase

" go big or go home " to the 60's sig line.

If you need anything let me know.

Well after many nights spent laying on a creeper and sitting in the garage I have decided it is time to retire the 60... The frame rust is just more than i want to deal with... I'll be parting the 60 out and using anything i can on the new(to me) trail rig...

So the new trail rig is going to be a 96 fj80 that just kinda fell in my lap last week and i couldn't pass it up... I will need to come up with a name for her and there is a whole list of things i will be doing to her in hopefully the near future... This has also become the diesel swap truck now too...

lift... 4"-6" with a little body lift maybe...
tires... planning on 36/37 ish range...
gears...
bumpers/sliders/armor...
thinking of painting the roof white to help with the heat...
some interior upgrades too...

This is just a start because we all know that the list just keeps growing... :D

I will be starting a new thread for the 80 at some point too...

LOVE IT!

Nice pick up Chris, it was good for you to bring it by Pete's this afternoon. You couldn't have had a better truck to just fall in your lap.

I might just be up for that as well. Any specific place on mind?
