QUESTION: for my October 1975 truck - does the rear harness attach above the frame in between the frame and the tub, or below the top channel of the frame on the inside or on the bottom channel inside the frame ?

Since it was over 10 years ago when I pulled this wiring harness out and I didn't know to pay close attention I don't remember how it was secured, and we all know how wonderfully detailed The Toyota part diagrams are.

I have attached pictures showing it laid above the frame in between it and the tub. Is this where it goes?

Midway down the truck. Currently I have the harness on top of the frame rail. Is this correct?

Wheel arch. Looks like I could tuck it below the top side frame rail here....

Rear right corner

Rear (Coolerman built trailer connector stuffed up there for now). Continues to left corner. Should it go below the top of the frame or above it?

No clue. Me - I'd route where it is less likely to get snagged by brush or chaffed by flexing of the frame/body. Insulated wire clamps secured by stainless steel self tapping screws inside the frame every 2 or 3 linear feet, in the corners first and work out. Not a purest.

V - Use these clips to hold the harness to the inner-topside of the frame members: Toyota OEM 90463-08030

Below isn't a good photo and I can update, but you can somewhat see in the yellow circles where I placed two of these in the rear wheel arch.

Should be able to check my October 75 today if you still needed. Has less than 5,000 miles and wiring is all original.
Well, it goes without saying that OF COURSE I want to see photos of a < 5000 mile all original FJ40. Same month as mine. Especially the original wiring path and clamp locations.

That is an odd timeframe. I assume you have front discs?

And you don't even have a link in your sig to a show and tell thread? C'mon man!

I've posted pictures before in different threads. It was listed for sale in our club section back in 2006. I didn't buy it until 2007. Probably the same as yours except for the Borg Warner full time 4WD transfer case. It's buried in the back.

Dug out enough to. Get pictures across the back and to the tube the rear shocks mount to. Hangs off the top of the frame except goes over where it blocked. Not sure it's run further where the frame is boxed. Do you need that info as well?

No way I'm making you get back out there and crawl around. Great pics, cool vehicle(s)! Thank you.

Didn't ask for them but here are some more.
Coming down from the firewall.

Going across the area where the transmission and transfer case are.

Last going up the rear wheel arch in the frame. Looks like it has plug in this area.

Here is how it looks today.

This is actually a very good climate to store vehicles in an insulated garage. I drove it once in 2008 about 50'. I bought seventeen years ago and first heard about it twenty eight years ago.

Well I'll be snookered. That's where that odd shaped bracket-at-an-angle goes and what it is used for (the one up front by the firewall)!

And those double clamps for the brake line and wire loom! Ok. Makes sense.
