wheel lug spacing 5x?? Anyone running 16.5s

I am looking to lift my 94 FZJ80 --2"OME and am now looking at tires. Can you run 16.5 rims and tires on a 80? Not to hot on my rims, so if getting new I thought I would go to 16.5s plus Tire's are cheeper in the 16.5 than 16s

you might want to look at a few more brands to be sure as ti used to be the other way arround

I WOULD NOT run 16.5 wheels. The tire selection is poor and you CAN NOT airdown a 16.5. They do not have internal beads, the only thing that keeps them seated is air pressure.

If you want to go larger skip 16.5" and go to 17". 16" is getting to be the most common size right now. The bead deal that Dan describes is a real bad deal. The rim lip doesn't hold the tire in place very well.
