worst is 12, best is 18. Wade through my 99 thread and youll see the conditions that yielded them. Average 12.x

I have averaged 15.1 over 21,775 miles, uncorrected for 5% taller tires.

Average 12.7 overall.

I'd love to get twice that, but whatever - it was a big, heavy, v8-powered SUV when I bought it and I've only made it heavier.

In the long run I don't really care.

20-21 driven tenderly, not towing.

So, I've had my 2000 LC for a couple of years now. It is running strong on and off road. Seriously good vehicle.

I live in Cali, and with the gas prices lately, I decided to do a mileage run to downtown LA from oceanside. 180 miles round trip, with a good mix of highway, traffic, and city driving. Averaged 13.

Honestly, It is worth it to me. If all that capability and durability comes down to poor mileage, I figure I'm still on the right side of the equation.

FYI, wife has a 2020 JLU Rubicon Recon - haven't done a mileage run, but it isn't significantly better.

17 highway if I'm careful. P-metric 32's and my rig has morphed into a pickup truck with only the front two seats and usually only has me in it, so lighter than standard.

Brand new fuel pump & filter (among other things) to clear a CEL and my mpg hasn’t changed one bit: 13-ish city, 15 highway on Geolander 275/70/16s.

Bone stock-no racks, vaults, bumpers, nuthin.

There's either some stone cold liars in this thread, some people who are doing some generous rounding in their heads, or someone confusing their wife's camry with their Landcruiser.
