I want to get about 5 feet of this, so I can protect the top edge of the tailgate on my 62, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks for the help!

The rubber edge cover is what I'm looking for.
 
Pretty sure it's called "welting", and it's good to find out you can still get new stuff, looks very similar to the OEM.
 
I just got mine in the mail today, and it took less than five minutes to install. Super easy. It just presses on, and that's it. If you use a rubber mallet, and lightly tap (it'll save the heel of your hand some pain). Only thing you have to think about, is it stretches as it snugs in place, so you need to account for that when you measure. Or you can cut it when you install. I used heavy duty scissors, and didn't have any trouble.

I purposely left the ends a little short, so the upper hatch weather strip wouldn't hit it.

It was about $15 for the 5ft. I needed, and shipping was free.

It's 1.28 ft. They have different colors
I put it on my doors and rear tailgate to get rid of noise. Truck is much quieter.
