Whats the most NON-LEXUS looking tire in say, 33"?

Go for the Boggers then if mileage is no concern. A Lexus with Boggers is something you do not see everyday and will likely cause people to shake their heads.

Doc- how many plies on the tread and on the sidewall? IIRC the MT/R I had in the same size was 9 ply w/3ply sidewall. Curious how the dest. M/T compares, as the price is attractive.

10 under the treads... not sure about the side-walls. For the money, they are unbeatable..

What prices have you paid for your aggressive tires?

Damn Cody, for the price of rubber, you could do a standard OME lift. Then you'd have a lifted truck with skinny street rubber, people would shake their heads in wonder...look at that goof....and that would satisfy you're need to be different. Except that you'd be upgrading your rig in a logical manner, almost like a wise 40+ guy. Granted, this advice is from a 33 year old, so it may not be so wise. However I do have 2 small kids as well, and if I was flying down the freeway with them and had to stop fast, I'd rather not be on boggers.....course that's my age talkin'.

Veddy good.....grasshoppa....

(takes notes)

The standard OME lift is the 2.5", correct?

I'll eventually get to the lift stage, probably only a few weeks after I get the tires. I see a lot of posts here where people run 33"s on a stock suspension, so thats not out of the ordinary.

A lot of people with 33"s and a 2.5" lift as well...so thats pretty common too.

I'll have to do something a little different...

Perhaps, I will build a trailer with matching ridiculous 33" tires?

Looking to get rid of those BBS wheels?

another bunchs of 80 owners with the :princess: Miata. I'm also interesed in buying the BBS wheels if you're selling.

I got the same response when I removed the 8.5" limited edition BBS wheels from my Miata to swap on a matched bolt pattern heavier wheel, since I already had some better traction tires on the other rims.

I think you meant 8.5# wheels on a 93LE, right?

Hands down the baddest looking, cheapest, best performing off road tire is in a 33" size is the Interco Super Swamper LTB, 33x13.50-16. This is the tire on the right of post #4, see above.

See my ROTW for pics: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=52552

I ran them for a while on stock suspension with a little rubbing while off road.

If you get them as a second tire for wheelin' you can't go wrong!

haha, yes, 8.5lb wheels, not 8.5", and yes a 93 Miata LE.

Now that looks nice -

Is this pic still stock suspension - just the 33"s?

You're not really supposed to be able to drive an ATV on the street - even the warning stickers slapped on the fender say "DO NOT USE ON THE HIGHWAY!"

Buttttttttttttt.......the DMV gave me a motorcycle plate and registration for it...

I don't even have a Motorcycle endorsement!

I love AZ - they drive atv's to Walmart in Flagstaff :D

those grapplers look good

That is my current set up with the 33" Super Swamper LTB tires and OME springs (Heavy front / Medium rear).

Hey Cody,

If you're planning to add the lift in just a couple of weeks after you get tires, you really ought to consider getting the 35s now, instead of spending the money for tires twice... I picked up the same tires as ToolsRUs (Nitto TerraGrapplers 315/75/16) many months ago, and ran them with the stock suspension for about a month with no clearance issues. I'm now running the Jsprings (wish I could afford the 6" lift!)...

Hmm...so 35"s will fit for a little while before a suspension lift...

Now my question is, is it any cheaper to buy a set of those 15" steel wheels and get a 35 x ? x 15 tire?

It seems trying to find any size x 16 adds quite a bit to the price.

Yeah the 15" will definitely be cheaper! Unfortunately you will have to sell your FZJ80 and get a FJ80 or grind away the calipers on your FZJ80 to make them fit though.

On another note, if you are intent on throwing away $$, please take an extra week or two to find the tire that is really right for you and your application, and then you can send me the $1000 you were going to waste buying tires "that look funny and make people stare" :D

Nah, I gotta use that $1000 for the snorkel that will probably never touch water, a cargo rack that will probably only change where I store my spare, and if I have any left I'll toss around the idea of putting 2 of those matching funny wheels on a utility trailer to pull my ATV with silly tires around. :)

I've got some stock size (275/70R16) Revo's with about 15k on them I just pulled off I need to sell, perfect shape, but I upgraded to 285 Revo's. PM me if interested.
