find my thread on it...and Radd had one too....

4:1 kit, 32-spline front/rear outs, and it's survived some major abuse behind my MVB 700 and 350 TBI....37's and 40's....

poor mans Atlas, you'll like it...cable shift it and it's great.

Atlas or Stak would be a good option...

:D

Dana 300

Good transfer case.

I went with one of my buddies and he broke the front output shaft on his. We took it off that week and had a BIG SHAFT kit put in it. Now, I do not know what that consists of. I just know it's alot tougher. He has not had any trouble since. It was a breeze to change, it's small and light and easy to handle.

Contact: Keith Bailey, Off Road Connection, Gardendale Alabama. They can hook you up with the details etc.

205 is bulletproof.. But huge, heavy and a 1.9 low range.. If you have the extra room, a 203/205 is a bombproof combo..

D300 can be made strong and a 4:1 is very available..

D300....I've broken lots of s*** with my D300 installed

4:1 Lomax gear set...
32 spline front output - JB Conversions
32 spline rear output - AA
twinstick shifter...FWD rocks...

$1500ish versus $2500ish for an Atlas....

im happy with mine but i dont have the hours on mine like woody has. check JBConversions website for the best HD parts for them. according to john at JB Conversions they are stronger than an atlas when built because of the cast iron case and larger gears. (although not nearly as cool looking as an atlas) FWIW mine has the lomax 4:1, 32-spline outputs from JB Conversion, 1410 front yoke,a 32-spline drive flange from jess @ High-angle, twin-sticks by me and im running a centered cruiser-minitruck hybred rear axle....

that said, if i had the cash id buy a stak for multiple low range options...

d300

where would you find a dana 300 and what price range are you looking at for one????

bigbluefj (kevin)

1980+ CJs and 1980 Scouts. The 1980 model has a shorter rear output and is somewhat sought after because of it.

Price range...I've had one offered to me for $50 (and the guy knew what it was, not much of a demand around here), you might pick one up free if you're really lucky, or a couple hundred bucks more likely than not.
