What's my front axle worth? (1 Viewer)

Sorry for the x-post, it wasn't getting much traffic in the 40 section..

I'm planning to swap out my front axle with something else this winter, and I'm trying to gauge the market... So here's what I've got, lemme know what you think..

Trail only rig

FJ40 housing.
cut & turned for 12° pinion, 5° caster
housing modded to have a removable diff cover, which is armored. (GREAT mod!)
4.10 third, lock-right, round pinion flange (coarse spline though)
mini truck knuckles
Rock buggy supply high steer, uses 1-ton TRE's.
vented brakes
spindle stud kit
good calipers/rotors/bearings/seals
aisin hubs
4340 birfs (27 spline)
4340 inners (PolyPerformance)
would include u-bolts & spring plates

Spare parts:
1 aisin & 2 warn lockout hubs
1 spare cromo birf
spare (stock) inner shafts
spare 4.10 open third member

So what would you all say the going rate is?

I'm not sure what it's worth, but I would be interested in buying it in a few months (moving that way).

Stock front axles are worth$250 when someone needs them, when you want to sell them$100 is a good price to get rid of them......Yours are drum brakes if you had disc brakes $450-$600 for the same axle I have sold probably 10 axles and sometimes I give the old ones, away 73 and older. I have a set off a 1973 that I will gladly sell both of them for $75 each dave at Rockntag@msn.com

dont think he did but if your interested he will sell you a set off of a 73

I just parted a similar fron fj60 housing... heres the pricers I got for almost new components:

cut & turned housing $140
Treated longfields: $150
3rd w/ 4.88's $150
lockright $150
Brand new high steer w/ TR & DL $215

Can't sell stock inners for $25 ea.
Can't sell fully rebuilt knuckles w/ 4runner calipers & new wheel bearings for $225

This should give you an idea of what your stuff is worth. HTH
