I bought a 1996 FJ80 (from Texas - no rust) for the drivetrain swap in my FJ60. I want to keep the frame, suspension, axles, etc., but nothing from the body/interior or powertrain.

Any idea what that *should* bring? I'm just looking for a ballpark price. Nothing specific.

This is not a thread to part it out. I would rather sell as a whole. If you reply with, "save me the third lugnut on the driver's front", I WILL ignore you. If I decide to part it out, I'll start a new thread.

Engine overheated. Engine should be considered a loss. Everything else is supposed to be good.

So your planning on a 60 with a 1fz engine and the 343 trans?

Then your going to sell it when your done?

I think he wants to know what the body is worth. I am going to say not much in less you find some one that rolled theirs.

I picked up a Lc this color in about this shape with a blown head gasket without lockers for $800. I think I got a deal however I would not have payed much more for it with a blown motor.

There is my two cents for what its worth. that in $5 will get you a coffee.

It seems like something that is going to need a really specific buyer, like someone that for some reason has a rust free frame, axle set, motor, etc. but needs a rust free body. That said, as a parts rig, you are looking at more work, but also more money as individual body parts are worth a lot more. The front fenders should easily sell for $600 for the pair, the doors are probably worth the same or more depending on the interior skins, $500 for the rear hatch parts, etc.

Thanks, that's the type of information I was looking for. I do not want to part it out, but I also want to maximize the return on the parts. Somewhere in the middle is probably where I will end up.
