What's a wrecked 1991 4runner worth?

I found a wrecked 1991 4runner at a dealership, the right quarter pannel is smashed in, and the roof is smashed in some at the rear also. It has an 22re and 5-speed, and has 230,000 miles. The interior is in very good shape, the asking price is $5000, but I think I will try and offer $1500, does this sound reasonable?

I sold my old 90 4Runner V6 SR5 205k in nice shape over all for $2500. Just for reference.

I think I am going to pass on this 4runner, the guy at the dealership was pissing me off, because he was asking me every minute if I wanted to make an offer on it...

Check Craigslist. 2nd gens are dropping in price pretty fast, I'm starting to see them in the $2K range with something major wrong, 4K with high miles but in good shape.

I paid $2K for mine, needed tires, sunroof cables, brakes, and a fender.
