I'm finally getting some pics of people's rigs with the new style of Quik Hinge on them. I guess I'm working on a lot of other people's rigs indirectly. I'm sure @dogfishlake gets this with the racks.

Not a huge work effort cleaning but the robins like perching on the rear wiper blade and crapping on the Toyota emblem daily.

I used the 79 to winch the triple locked project 80 out of the weeds to get started on it. It's a SoCal truck under all that dirt and moss. Not sure what it's future is, but it has to get better than this!

Looking good! Here's some inspiration. Drove it to work today, for the first time since tearing it down.

The 80 threw an "ECM Battery malfunction" code yesterday and it was idling around 2- 2.5k. Finally poked around and found some very hungry rodent decided to snack on part of the wire harness near the engine bay fuse box - little bastard ate through the plastic sheath, tape and 2 wires.

Ed, I'll swap for your robins 😁

Put the 100 in a shop to charge and dye leak check the A/C. They found no leaks but than where did the freon go ?

Looks like it started chewing on the yellow/ blue also.

Ih8 rodents. Someday when the wx isn’t so gross I’ll dig back into working on my wife’s 80. I still have some rodent mess to finish cleaning before getting the dash and electronics rerouted. Then it will be a lot of details I hope I didn’t forget over the last 5 years of it being down. Then we have to build the interior for the rugged overlanding type of use.

The shop needs to look harder. There are some well hidden joints and lines going to the rear A/C as well as the usual spots on the 100 like right behind the front passenger wheel. It could be inside hidden in the dash. It’s not exactly easy to see the evaporator. But, if it’s low on refrigerant, there is a leak.

Yea, I'm not optimistic the system will be leak free. I haven't read about where the suspected leaks usually occur or what the key failures are in this vehicle and honestly I've never worked on A/C systems. We're headed on a short road trip Monday and my wife and I agreed we need A/C so hopefully it lasts long enough in this heat we're facing.
