I found one more FJ45 this one is on a 80's chassies . Was told a original diesel model automatic. Was told drivetrain rebuilt.
Has long bench seats in the bed one each side. Orginal cab and bed.
It would req. shipping for a US buyer.
I did not ask too many questions but it runs drives good. Whats it worth in American market? shipping is not to bad going from here to USA.

No 40 series ever had a automatic transmission. Diesel is a later one and not original to the 45. Imports technically are suppose to have the original engine to be imported. Could causes problems getting it into the US.

Best car advice I ever got was buy the rig (for what it has/is not the story such as "Rebuilt" because whatever that means or original drivetrain... no Bondo small print, however there is lots of fiberglass (which isn't Bondo)

I didn't read the part saying it was on a 80 series which obviously changes the automatic transmission part. It could be an original drivetrain making it legal for import. It is when I noticed coil springs is when it dawned on me it wasn't a 40 series frame.

Pic 3 looks like it still has some sort of leaf under there. I once ordered a S&W and it had to go back to the factory, never again will I buy anything expensive sight unseen. Unless you can drive it back threw their office wall a lot of warranties are only worth the paper they are printed on which isn't very much.

I know bodyman's favorite colors are orange and yellow because its harder for human eyes to detect flaws. They like to not show cars for sale in good sun for the same reason.

It's on a 80 chassis. But still meet the requirements for over 25years . Don't matter any way US don't get any of the cool stuff any way. Like turbo diesel 80 series with Factory dual fuel tanks rear air and no emissions and the little cup holder in the dash that's removed for Americans who can't seem to operate it and the button for the center differential lock in high range yeah wow that's a thing you can't import America yeah danger danger Will Robinson don't push the center differential button lock in high range you will kill yourself.

I imported my HJ45. Kinda depends on where it is coming from. I will probably never import one from SA again. Full of bondo and I’ve fought everything on that truck, bent cracked frame. Go to the 45 section to see my build “the wedding 45” and see some of the things that was done to that truck. Also consider trucks get taxed at 25%. I have 2x in the truck after logistics, taxes, brokerage fees, title tons of paperwork etc etc and I did just about everything myself. Only paid about $800 for RORO shipping. So the fees add up. If it’s for you to keep it might be worth it but if you are going to flip it… it will probably not be worth getting your money back. Buyer beware.
