I was wondering if someone could help me identify these lines.

They are run across the front border of the fuel tank and then make a sharp bend at the inner side of the rear wheel well then run into the body cross member. I got really concerned about them today while I was sandblasting (was trying to clean things up a bit before applying a Por 15 treatment). At first I thought they were fuel lines but I happen to bust through one while sandblasting ( the line was pretty much rusted through) and no fuel came out. Are these lines vent lines or something. Nothing came through the small hole... I have no idea what these do.

Thanks a bunch

Perplexed:)

You make sure they're not hardlines for your brakes? Granted if that's the case and you put a hole in one and nothing came out, you've got more problems to worry about...

60 or 62? fuel return or tank vent lines would be my guess. Gotta pic?

Im thinking fuel vent lines... but he stated they were all rusted through.. I say fix it cause whatever is getting in through it will make its way to the gas tank... or you can always cap it...

Thanks for your help guys.

My cruiser is a BJ60 1984
From your description and this other thread i found through a search:
https://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/86831-medusa-gas-lines-gas-tank.html

it sounds like what im working with are fuel vent lines. I did notice a fuel like smell when i fired it up this morning, and still nothing coming out of the hole. They are all rusted to *&ell and I should really replace them but until i know with what, im going to patch the one hole i made. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to replace these, do i need to go with yota parts? or can you get aftermarket on these?

Thanks again for all your help

Lee;)
