So what happened here? You asked about a 30K 80 series basically stop in FL? Then nothing happened?

Why don't you spend 5-10K on a good rig from here or not from Autotrader or just make your life easier and spend all your cash you're making on a Jeep.

Oh boy, listen do what your doing ignore the "experts" look on THIS forum for a used 80 and chances are it will have all receipts service log etc. expect to pay 12-15 for what your looking for and more than likely it will already have appropriate mods. theres a reason my 80 is called the "green monstah" and its not just because Im from Boston. Ignore that haters and do yourself a favor never mention your means on here again good luck .

im not hating him I'm just confused what the purpose of this was. I think everyone here is happy to help it just seems like a lot of chest beating going on.

Just to add to the chorus of people saying that's too expensive. Last year bought a 97 with 62k miles for $8000. That said, I put some serious money into it immediately because no driving takes a toll on the truck. But it was a deal so I went with it. Take your time, scour all the Craigslists. There are better deals to be had. Personally though if I was doing it again, I wouldn't be so concerned about mileage.

If a buyer requested that I pull an oil sample and send it off to be examined I’d tell them to **** off. It’s a 20 year old vehicle.

The absolute worst kind of buyer. They nickel and dime you down to your rock bottom price, then 2 days later you get a 27 page email describing their disappointment and why you should give them more money back. These people have incredibly unrealistic expectations and seem to lack technical knowledge.

Now THAT is interesting. Considering the cost and PITA factor of importing, that seems like a reasonable price.

You can get all kinds of JDM stuff in WA for pretty good deals these days. If I were looking at spending over $10k on a 4x4 it would definitely be JDM. As you've seen you can get land cruisers that are far better than the USDM ones for almost the same money.

I figure I'll give it a couple of years and see about a JDM turbo diesel. :)

It will be more exciting once the mid/late 90's cars are legal, but it's hard to say what's still going to be around in Japan at that time. As for the land cruisers though, I'm surprised more people on this forum aren't trying to snatch up the good JDM ones.

I mean, look at this it's insane
