You've came this far, take it to a machine shop and have them hot tank and magnaflux the head. I would completely rebuild the thing and be done with it. Grind the valves and seats, fix the rocker, then put it back together with no worries.

second this..
I have a spare set of combustion chambers if you need them.
the rockers can be ground to take out the divit... do not try and adjust with the divit remaining... the setting will vary...
s*** happens.
All back together. Notes, please feel free to comment:
I couldn't, for the life of me, sink the precups as close as the FSM specified (+/-0.05mm; I could only get +.10mm on the worst one) even after cleaning the holes. Hopefully this won't cause any problems.
I adjusted the valve clearances to 2x what the factory specified, because I only had hot clearance specs, but my motor wasn't capable of operating yet (was cold) and I didn't know what happens if you are set too tight. All of my valves were *way* off, clearances on the order of 1/16" or 1/32".
A little scary and smokey when bleeding the injectors (this was the first time I'd done that), but when I tightened that last fitting... prrrrr. I've never heard my engine so quiet! It runs GREAT!
BUT! The leak is still there, hahahaha! This was all for nothing! I found a tiiiiiny pinhole in that heater hose after all.I've really gotta learn to slow down, this was epic stupidity.
In any case, I've got an engine that runs even better than it did before, and no longer have to worry about my precups dropping. I guess thats a good thing....
my question is how in the hell did you get a toyo diesel in California?.....
I need to find the guts to pull me head and check everything out...you give me inspiration!!!
Personally, I would not pull the head unless there is a problem. Of 3-4 3B's I've torn down not one has had a good head though they were all running fine except one.
I would however recommend pulling the rockers and checking them as they can easily be fixed/replaced and you won't risk opening a "can of worms".
