Hey guys sorry if this is an idiotic question, someone told me the other day you can change the valve seals without removing the head? Seems impossible to me but thought I'd ask anyway. The engine is a diesel 1HD-T.

As long as you are sure the piston is at TDC, theoretically you could do it. The question is how you can release the collets and take the springs off and, more importantly, get then back on. A tool could be made I think.

Are you certain valve seals are the source of your problems? Turbo might be a more likely culprit?
I did this on my 1hdt.
