Are you laughing due to toyota blowing smoke up my butt or laughing at me for being retarded and not putting a gasket there first?

There was a gasket in that location from the factory, however, it did not do anything that the Toyota folks are stating.

The master cylinder is sealed. If it were not, it would leak fluid out the rear and the gasket would not prevent it from doing so.

The booster has a lip seal around the actuation rod that contacts the master cylinder and prevents the booster from leaking (actually, getting ambient air pressure inside the chamber, effectively nullifying the assist that the engine provides with vacuum) the gasket not being there would have zero effect on what you are describing.

Have you verified that your booster is actually getting vacuum?

Have you verified that your check valve on the booster is functioning properly?

I have seen carbon buildup in intake manifolds to the point that it blocked off the connection at the manifold where the booster hose attached.

I don't know if it is getting vaccuum. Do i unplugg the hose with truck running to check the Vac? I also don't know about my check booster. I did take my rig to a brake shop and they informed me of my mc being bad and i asked about the booster and they said it was working properly.

Have you verified that your check valve on the booster is functioning properly? How do i check this?

The only other thing i can think of is that the brakes aren't properly adjusted. How do i see if the check valve is functioning properly?

Just starting my restore on a 69

This sounds like a problem I am going to have. If if were not for bad luck I would not have any luck at all. Hope you figure out what the problem is.

How could the brakes not being properly adjusted cause a hard pedal, or no fluid flow out the bleeder screw in the front circuit?

You are aware that the disc front brakes are not adjustable, correct?

Read that information, at least twice.

THEN READ THIS <---- this is a link

i'll read that a couple of times. on my way home today i noticed that if i was at a light and i had my foot on the clutch and was in 1st gear and no foot on the brake the engine would lope and miss a tad but once i put my foot bad on the brake pedal it stopped loping and ran better. don't know what that means i i tried it a couple of time just to make sure i was thinking correctly.

poser thanks for that. It was a very good read and informative. I think i know more about my booster and how it works then i needed to know. I am helping the wife cook some greatness and at my first break i am going to remove my check valve and see if it is working properly.

ok, i went and removed the check valve and i can blow through it from the back end so i know my check valve works. so i guess the only thing left that is not working properly would be my brake booster? also, when i removed the check valve it came out pretty easy so could another area of issue be the rubber grommet that holds the valve in? Just dried up and not holding the vacuum?
