This was bolted to the passenger side frame rail and I didn't like how it looked after removing the running boards so I took it off.
Anyone know it's purpose?

Thanks

IT is just a harmonic noise eliminator. Remove it and toss it. There are several threads here about it.

Sorry harmonic vibration damper.

Readily converted to an anchor for a small fishing boat. :)

Or personal flotation device for your favorite politician! But we may need several to insure they work properly!!

What? You mean it doesn't keep the LC from tilting over in sharp curves (said the former what is this thing poster)

Flux capacitor

I think that thing is worth a fortune.....

In all honesty.....if you don't want it, I would love it have it. Please PM me and I will pay for shipping.

I was just looking at TSB on exhaust boom at ideal, which is why Crossmember Damper Weight was attached. Removing it will leave a bracket in some models that didn't have the weld nuts in place. This bracket may rattle around inside frame rail, so be prepared. This is only one piece in a number on minor parts that were changed or added to correct this TBS.

Additionally many 100's get the "D" vibration, not believed caused by this. But if you do get the "D" vibration this is just one more issue you'll have too consider.
