What is this? Passenger side firewall behind Air duct, 79 FJ40

IMG_6815.jpeg

Well It don’t work, so I’ll just put the duct back in!!!

I'll tell you what it is---it's annoying;)

In 1983 I bought a set of perfect front doors off 1979 FJ40. It was hit in the front and the back. 30K miles and it was totalled. I ended up buying the roll bar and three point seat belts from the same cruiser. What made me decide to do that was could see where the driver's head had smashed the windshield. I'm a lot older now and the idea of dying in a accident doesn't scare me. What could had if I didn't die does.

Dang....guys, I just looked at that picture on my laptop, you can read what it is.......on my phone I could not read it........

I often transfer pic's from phone or camera to the laptop or tablet just to get the bigger picture. My old semi smart phone doesn't have the zoom in features like my new smarter than one.

I bought a borescope off Amoron for $30 to use with the old phone in hazardous places. It works ok - I tried it on the new phone - way better picture and controls stuff.
For some unknown reason the borescope app can only be on one phone at a time - but that could just be me.

If the bore scope communicates through Bluetooth, it's a security "feature" to prevent being hijacked by a different master.

It plugs into the phone with usb-c but has adapters to do micro usb or lighting. I put the app on the old phone and got it working in like 15 minutes. When I tried to use it on the new phone I couldn't get it to work until I deleted the old phone. I borrowed a unit from a neighbor that was usb and plugged into the laptop - much nicer to have a big screen for old eyes.
