It is a black wire coming off of my starter, goes into a connector on the starter (atleast I am pretty sure it does) and is cut at the other end. Noticed it last night when the truck was on the lift getting prepped for a weekend snow run. Starter works fine, everything seems to be ok. Not sure what this is.

The PO was an electrical idiot so this could be remnants from him.

Remote start? Kill switch? I don't know!

That wire sends power to the starter solenoid from the ignition switch (if it's the wire I'm thinking about). I don't know how you can get the starter to work if that wire is disconnected/cut.

Thanks for the help guys. Yea starter works fine, never had a starter issue with this rig. Im leaning toward it being a redundant ground or crap work left behind by the PO. I'll investigate it a bit more when I get home.
