You can also turn it about 1/4 turn to adjust the light sensitivity of your auto headlights.
Do you know if you can turn this sensor to disable the auto lights?
I just use the stalk to operate the headlights, I quit using the auto lights with the advent of HID's. I'm sure I'm stating the obvious tho.
I do the same, I just want to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on my ballasts ($450 a piece). But that 2 second warm up is awesome![]()
If you have your headlight stalk in the off position, why would the sensor have any control?
oh and
What site do you find this stuff off of? Or is this a screenshot of the electronic FSM?

It's the crazy stuff you learn by actually reading the owner's manual.![]()
ha, true. But after somebody drives my truckprincess
the lights are on automatic and everything is changed around. I'd rather disconnect it/disable it so it can't be functional even if the light switch has been changed. I have already put in limiters that won't allow the ballasts to rapidly, but auto lights seem to defeat it no matter what. I guess one could disassemble the stalk and remove the contacts for "auto". But that seems like a lot of work when I can adjust a sensor or unhook it.
