What is this line from - to?

This is sticking out of my FJ40 firewall on the passenger side. It came this way. What does it go inside the cab and where should it be attached to in the engine compartment?

ah the question! that is the breather line for the distributor cap i think..

My FJ is a 78 CA model. Hmmmm - it came with a different distributor; the guy that had it before went back to an older disty with points (small cap), it has pertronix now. I have nothing to attach it to on the disty - just a small vacuum hook-up going back to the card.

That seems like an awful big line for a distributor. Where does it go internally?

No where that tube is connected to this round thing which is on the other side.. which might be a filter of sorts
