What is this horn on the passenger side fender in the engine bay for?

A search was performed and found nothing on this.

Their are two horns behind the front grill, and one horn on the passenger side next to the power steering reservoir.

This horn is working because I hooked it up with some jumper wires in place of one of the front horns. Now I hooked the harness back on and checked the wire coming from it.

I want to actavate the horn when I arm and disarm the alarm system.

This horn next to the power steering reservoir does not do anything, does not honk when I arm/disarm the alarm or the panic alarm. Also when I push the horn button on the steering wheel this horn does not sound.

The two horns behind the front grill works for everything.

Search will offer you many thread on installing an audible horn that's located in the drivers fender well of the LX, not in the LC

The horn you found is the OE alarm horn.

Thanks, yea saw those but want to activate what I already have. Their is a horn on the passenger side fender next to the power steering reservoir on my LC. I will take a pic tomorrow and post pic, but I have the OE alarm. Does any one know how to turn this horn on for the arming/disarming?

Try locking all your doors with the driver's window down. Wait at least 30 seconds for the alarm to arm, then reach in and pull the hood release and open the hood. The horns should be going off, including the one under the hood.

Did you read them? As I also assumed that horn on the passenger fender next to the OBD port was for the "arm" report signal when you lock and unlock the doors. The LC does not have this feature like the LX. If you want it to chirp when locking you will need to read the threads and purchase the LX horn and install it into the drivers fender well and run a harness to it.

ToyotaDon, I have done this experiment a month ago four times. Only the horns behind the front grill sound when the doors are opened with out disarming the system.

AATLASIX, I did do a search...came up with only thread but not what I wanted.

I dont understand this LC, of the high price that these sold for....it sure is missing some usable features that I have had on less expensave vehicles from the past.

I guess what is one persons feature is another persons hemorrhoid (pain in the rear).
Every vehicle I've ever had with a CHIRP for arming/disarming the alarm, I have turned it off. I just glance at the lights to see if it's locked/unlocked.

Easy to understand. The features you're missing are all available on the Lexus LX470 for a higher price. It's just marketing, baby...
