Looking to paint the same. What did you use for painting. Tiny brush, toothpick?
Sorry, I thought I had answered you already.. I used a satin black enamel on the ring and some Freeborn Red I had as a sample and sprayed on them picked up a silver paint pen from Hobby Lobby for the lettering.

We had 18” of snow in 36 hours at our local mountain and we happen to have a chalet rented during this time. Epic!!!!!

Started tearing into a front axle overhaul.
And found all kinds of fun.
The right side spindle has the wheel bearing retention threads about wiped clean.
There was some wheel bearing tomfoolery
The outer bushing isn't looking the greatest
The claws for the ball are well worn
And the outer axle stub is bent
All in all pretty great day

Does she have a working heater?
That's cool. I've seen a blue one around that had the bifold rear that rolled up, but that's it for old ones.

That really does look like a homemade top...a proper fst would be slick.

Does she have a working heater?
You bet! A Canadian 24 volt BJ42 heater with a 12 volt bj60 rear heater. I drive with the windows down in winter. Real nice and warm.

When I first bought her, she only had a bus heater under the glove box with no defrost.

Is that really a thing? Have you done that?
It is. First the tank is boiled out, and then sealed. Done right it’ll last a very long time. If it isn’t prepped, it will flake off and clog up everything.

Sprayed some PB blaster on the back of the drag link in preparation for rebuilding it.

Drove it around town. Filled it up with ethanol-free 87.

And sadly, the plastic surfboard keychain I got at Surf-n-Turf in 2006 (maybe 2007) broke. The screen printing had worn off years ago, but still I'd had that key chain for nearly 19 years.

Out for a ride to try to see if all is good from my last breakdown.... Thought i heard a clunking noise but driving gently , I wasn't able to replicate the noise so, I slowly revved it in 2nd gear on a slight incline. Well, that worked, so I wasn't imagining the noise. Motor stopped and wouldn't restart and doesn't even turn over. Think It is a spun bearing. plenty of oil though :( Damn it.

Went for some backroad cruising in the 2/80. My first stockish streetable SBC powered 40. What a pleasure it is to feel acceleration in a 40! Has some rich carb issues to rectify, and what feels like a dragging brake or bad wheel bearing front passenger side. Going to try to swap in some Corbeau buckets i picked up from @CondeCruiser a couple years back tomorrow as the factory buckets are rigid and quite uncomfortable. Came home and gave it its first bath and a good CLR scrub. Considering removing the green bits as all the doors need weatherstripping and its quite a racket on the road, but might just wait until i can find a buyer for the top and doors before i pull them.

These Baja RS seats fit fantastic and are way more comfortable than the stockers. Was able to reuse the original seat brackets and will have to modify slightly for the inside rail to line up with mounting holes in the tub.

Out with the old and in with the new. Mid 2000 pathfinder seats fit perfectly. I’m not going for oem factory restoration on this one.

@cruisedeisel is that center console a part of the seat assembly front thePathfinder or a separate component?
