After selling my 1989 FJ62 a few years ago, I’m excited for more tooling around. Just picked up this 2000LC last week. I’m going to fix a few mechanical things and some cosmetic items that really mess with my OCD :).

Needs new exhaust and ac compressor installed. Aftermarket radio leaves much to be desired so I’m switching it back to OEM. It only came with a valet key so looking to get that sorted out.

You can program new keys without paying the dealer for service…

Hey all - dont want to open a new thread for a small question so hope to get some answers here pls. I'm busy doing the driver side valve cover gaskets. It appears that something was snapped off here ? if so, what is/was that?

Did the update fix the grom problems? I am contemplating this purchase. Already have the BT45 bluetooth but some more apps would be nice.
So far, yes, the update fixed the problem. GROM's tech support has been excellent too. If you sign up for their newsletter, which I just did to keep on top of software updates, there's a promo code for $60 off this month. Since the update, I had an incident where I lost the ability to adjust the volume, but the problem continued when I switched over to the factor radio, so I don't think it is the GROM.

Much quieter than what was on but they were on the end of the life on the other tires. Yeah probably need to look at getting some other springs for the rear to get that gap under control.

Glad to hear it. Do you know if this completely bypass the MFD? I have the MFD acting up lately (most likely from the 60 soldering circuit), and if I am going to rip all that out want to know if I need to address that issue as well or if this unit just bypass that side all together?

Did the GROM VLine update for software and firmware and my issues of the UI pulling up when i start the truck have pretty much been eliminated. Before I would get wavy lines against a black screen. The audio would still work most of the time. Before it was about 50/50 if it truly worked or not.

My two girls asked me right after I had my afternoon coffee and pastry yesterday, “Dad, what do you want to do it’s father’s day weekend?” I replied: “are you guys up for an adventure this evening?” And them being me and me being me, and the cruiser being the cruiser it is. We hopped in the car and went to the highest point in the Las Vegas valley. My 15yo did most of the uphill driving at night! Super proud moment.

This is what our builds are all about, to serve it’s purpose - and that is to create life long memories.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads here.

I bought a pair of Stone One Landcruiser armrests for the 200 and decided I only need one for the driver side. As it turns out, the taper for the 100 series is the opposite of the 200 so the passenger armrest fit perfect on the driver side of the 100 series. As you can see from the wear marks, this was a a no brainer. So comfortable!

Installed Ironman shocks, new LBJS (Holy Cow my current LBJs where absolutely shot), 4 duro bump up front, and just a proper ole' clean. Also put in a some new front diff seals as i damaged the ones i installed over the winter. Ended up having to cut out the lower bolts in the shock on the picture. Others side came right out. Was generous with the antisieze this go around.

Does this mean the 200 driver will work on the 100 passenger?
