First impressions after driving it? Give us the scoopInstalled DT headers. Due to limited access between the header and block, I recommend converting dipstick tube to a stud mount vs using the oem bolt. View attachment 2759496

I had a shop install the same headers this past week along with some other work - replaced all hoses fore and aft of the engine, Heater Ts, coolant replacement, timing belt, water pump, bearings etc., and spark plugs. The first impressions are real good. No more ticking of the cold engine, quicker from a stop, faster acceleration through the entire band as well. So far, I am happy with the results. I have yet to burn through a tank of gas to see the mpg results. Hoping for better than 10-12mpgs.First impressions after driving it? Give us the scoop![]()
I will qualify this by saying I do not have any dyno numbers pre or post to validate any gains, but I am happy after about 100 miles of driving. I would say worth the cost vs oem replacement manifolds if you’re trying to make that decision.First impressions after driving it? Give us the scoop![]()
Hideous looking things (wood trim)Also removed a PO’s old SiriusXM unit that was a nonfunctional eyesore. View attachment 2760066View attachment 2760068
I honestly like non-wood trimRemoved dilapidated faux wood trim and love the results. I just let the car heat up in the sun and patiently went after it with a stiff putty knife. To finish it off I used rubbing alcohol to remove any glue residue.

So do I. I think it looks like a more modern vehicle now.I honestly like non-wood trim
Well at least you guys didn’t wind up with the slate blue faux marble trim. It looks like a shape fill that Microsoft has been using in PowerPoint since, well, the beginning of PowerPointSo do I. I think it looks like a more modern vehicle now.
Good Luck with better mpg's...after I installed mine, I can't seem to keep my foot off the skinny pedal...I like the way it feels and sounds too much. Did you just do the headers or the full exhaust?I had a shop install the same headers this past week along with some other work - replaced all hoses fore and aft of the engine, Heater Ts, coolant replacement, timing belt, water pump, bearings etc., and spark plugs. Man that wheel well is clean and love the factory tire carrier! Do you have sub tank on your VX.R and is this a 5-speed manual?Added two Squadron amber- cornering lens for ditch lights and two more with white - cornering lens in rear for backing. Also picked up the newly released covers for the LP6 pros.
Will add some night shots later.

LOL on the skinny foot comment. I know what you mean 'cos I've been driving that way too.Good Luck with better mpg's...after I installed mine, I can't seem to keep my foot off the skinny pedal...I like the way it feels and sounds too much. Did you just do the headers or the full exhaust?
Has Sub tank , center cold box, rear AC with no heat. The large air cleaner and cloth seats. Not sure if those things or anything else is different.Man that wheel well is clean and love the factory tire carrier! Do you have sub tank on your VX.R and is this a 5-speed manual?
