Nice!!!! That is on my to do list! What was the fit up like? Do the parts fit nearly perfect or is there a bit of a gap between parts that need filled with weld?

Thanks. I’m hoping to wrap it up this weekend. As for fit, the parts are close, but fit is determined by choices you make in how things go together, and since you’ll probably be working off of other people’s threads regarding assembly, you’ll be faced with some fit up issues. If you have some fab experience you’ll come up with solutions to these, but if you are a novice builder it’ll take time to work out solutions. I had a couple gaps I didn’t want to fill with weld, so I used bridge pieces ( 1/4” round bar) to back up the gaps.

It’s a good kit, and I’m glad to have it. But quick fit up is unlikely.

Dang it. Today I found some goo on the ground under the cruiser so I took a look.

I installed these new Toyota CVs 2 years ago. Before their 1 year installed they started leaking grease out of the band. Replaced band with McMaster-Carr clamps. Now at the 2 year mark one of the boost split. A new boot kit is on order!

Following with interest. Can't remember if yours is lifted at all, but yeah as stupid expensive as the OEM CVs are, they seems to not last a long time for some reason.

Yesterday I drove it for the first time after owning it for over a month. I bought it with a hurt motor, bought a motor abs swapped it in.

changed all the fluids while I had it apart, replaced coolant t fittings.

today I put license on it and officially have a Landcruiser!

I still have a few little things to fix, but it’s nice to have it going!

All done with the initial install, next is to figure out if I’m going to use the arb “skid” with the asfir skid plate.

Like I said on Instagram, looks great Chris!

I'd definitely run the ARB "skid". At the very least, it helps keep sticks and grass and leaves and small animals out of the radiator.

<undecided>
I'm still on the fence about using the ARB skid with the ASFIR seven months later. I think it may help with airflow to the lower part of the radiator to leave it off. But then it may provide some protection from something that flys up into the AC condenser.

My off-road world has a lot of mud and the lower part of the radiator fills up with mud and I need the area open to pressure wash the mud out. So if I put the ARB skid on, I will need to remove it monthly to wash out the lower part of the condenser and radiator after each off-road trip.

Had to change the oil so decided to do a test fit of the snorkel. Won't be going on till the bumpers and rack come in, but I like it.
