mcdoa,
I would love to see a write up and part list as well. I have the same issue and dealer quoted $700 to replace

Replaced the plastic trim at the front of both rear quarter windows. Both of mine had two cracks, and were making me a bit crazy.
Haven’t seen any threads on this but suspect it’s a common problem—if a write up would be helpful I’d be happy to put one together—it’s a one-banana job but much easier after side one, as are all jobs.
Pulled the window seal on the driver’s side off completely to clean around the window. On the passenger side I just pulled the back away to clean what’s visible with the window open.
when I went to reinstall the window I was like, “hey those look like rust flakes!” So I’ll be pulling that window tomorrow afternoon and figuring out how bad the cancer is.
NorCal truck so very very rust free, but the paint here must have been compromised and all that SF rain did its thing.

Mine are cracked too, write up and part # would be appreciated!!!

Hi! How did you fix the net on the back of the front seats. Can you share more details. I am looking to fix them and cant find a solution. Thanks
Here is the part number for the front seat back netting from the dealer... they cost no more than $25 for both sides. Just confirm color of the assembly if yours is tan or grey.

When taking out the backing, push down then pull on the backing. You can take off the old one by removing the retention clips holding the netting frame in place

On the seat back cover, grab it from the top of the cover. Push down on the cover (towards the floor) then pull the cover off

What sort of bracket did you use for the awning? I like how it is spaced away from the rack structure.

I used the brackets that came with the awning.

Social distanced, and took the kids rock crawling* And had the season’s last snowball fight.
Adjusted the T-Bars, but now, weirdly, the back isn’t level, side to side.
*the kids were rock crawling, not the LX.

@ClassyJalopy @Dave Crowe

Will do a separate writeup shortly, hopefully tomorrow. . . I'll post a link to it here.

Executive summary:
1) order part numbers 75642-60021 and 75641-60021. And a tube of 3m window weld. And a caulk gun if you don't have one
2) use a sharp screwdriver or the like to chisel/pry your old ones off while the windows are still mounted--so much easier than with the window off, which I did on the first side I attempted, not realizing these are held on with something very, very strong.
3) while doing this be aware there are two metal clips that wrap around the front of the windows on each side that you don't want to pry out with the trim, but if you do you can bend them back with pliers or vise grips
4) Remove lower and upper interior trim
5) remove two bolts by the window motor and two insanely cool nuts at the front of the windows (inside the C pillar at top and middle), unplug window motor (and antenna lead on the passenger side) remove the window.
6) razor blade off all the old adhesive and clean things up.
6.5) do steps 1-6 with the other side, since window weld is freaking expensive and you will need two tubes if you don't glue up both sides within a couple minutes.
7) test fit the new bits
8) run a pretty thick (1/4" ish) bead of window weld down the front edge of the window and a thinner one along the front outside edge. Spread that thin one out with something other than your fingers (my fingers are so black after this job)
9) press and hold trim in place until the outer edge no longer pulls away from the window--you can kind of move back and forth between both.
10) at some point, pull your window seals and check for rust under them (found some--curses!) and clean up all that dirt that's gotten stuck around the seals over the decades
11) assembly is the reverse of disaseembly.

Took me probably two or three hours on side one and probably 90 minutes on side two. So, yeah, I can see a dealer charging a boatload of money, but this is a pretty easy way to save $700. . .

Also tonight did some rust remediation (found rust under a quarter window seal) and bolted up one of my new @TRAIL TAILOR shock protectors—these things are works of art; I feel so bad about what’s going to happen to them....

Are they spots or floods? Can you provide a link? There are so many lights on Amazon, I'll never find them.

They are spots that come with flood diffusers. RFB! I updated my original post with the link.

wipes fine, no issues. Or you can buy the OEM one for much more
Thanks, I had bought one off ebay a while back and it ended up lifting off the glass a the top of the sweep. Ill look into this one

I like your LC, but I also have a soft spot for vintage broncos, Can you share some pics of that lovely machine behind your hundy?
Ha! I didn’t see that in the background until after posting. Truthfully, the LC doesn’t see much garage time bc of the Bronco(s). It’s a ‘71 I bought off the original owner 3.5yrs ago. Original paint, originally sold in town, 110k miles now, and upgraded to era correct disc brakes and PS (current project).

I love those Broncos. I had a 73 many years ago and wish I still had it.
