What have you done to your 100 Series this week? (31 Viewers)

It's summer in Georgia, and I was pulling a trailer last week, and noticed that my temperature gauge was creeping up above normal (typically, needle is exactly at halfway point), especially when I was sitting at a long red light, or in slow or stopped traffic. I figured it was either the thermostat or fan clutch. I ordered both thermostat (with new gasket) and fan clutch, and installed both. First checked out some tutorials on this site, as I'd never done these before. Pretty straightforward and easy. Worst part was removing and replacing the 4 fan bolts - there's no room in there to work at all. Everything is good now. I can now sit at idle for long periods of time, and the temp gauge never goes above normal.

Looks good, what rails are you looking at, I'm only going to be doing light wheeling but still want some protection and a little step for the wife and kids. Can't wait to ditch the running boards.

Not sure just yet. I dont do anything crazy anymore either but want a little protection. Might get a set of land cruiser phils rails or something of that nature.

Why are you stepping down an inch in tire size? Did you like the 285/70r18's? Seems the ideal size other than price point on the few options available.

Just found a good deal and I just bought the cruiser a month ago. Still working on the direction I am going. Found a nice little website that compares tire sizes. Tire Size Comparison

I want to line-x them, but I will probably just do linseed oil and shellac. The shellac can be redone really easily of it gets dinged up. I'm going to glue rubber truck bed mat on the top.

Thanks! I plan on putting a fridge in the top drawer and a stove in the second. Should work out really well.

Ordered some paint from automotive touch up for what's to come from the teaser pic and gave the White Russian a thorough cleaning. First real bath since ownership. Wash with chemical guys maxisuds 2, spray with TR.IX, re-wash, clay bar, wash with DAWN, working on last step of NuFinish. What a difference! If you wash your own rigs, I highly recommend getting a foam cannon for your pressure washer. I don't have any pics of that part but it's pretty amazing.

I finally got around to using my newly acquired 3M eraser wheel on what was left of the ridiculous gold package adhesive that was on the back of my LC.

I still have to compound and polish though.

I have a new front sombrero, rear is coming.

Not sure what else to put back on in chrome? Thought about the updated piece from an 04-07 but I'm not sure. That part would be the cheapest option though.

Installed an AUX input where the cig lighter used to be. Kept the green light surround and kept it looking as stock as possible. The stock sound quality is actually pretty dang good now that I can hear it clearly Parts used:
