I have a switch mounted on my 82 60 right of the steering column at the bottom of the dash. What is this switch for or do? Mine is not connected now. I thought someone said one time it is for if you have a winch.

I got this picture from another thread of Razor's 60(thanks razor). (switch right below keys)

that's your hand throttle.

Does it work like the choke cable with a cable? It looks like a electrical switch. When would you use this?

oops, maybe that's your choke cable????

are you talking about the switch that is slightly hidden by the steering wheel?

It pulls out and is attached to my go pedal on my trucks...the farther you pull, the higher the idle. you turn the knob and it resets itself....

I use it for idling up when I am stationary and a heavy electrical load is placed on the truck, running on board air, or warming my truck up...

fog lights maybe????

Good god man DON"T pull it out..........its for the ejection seat :flipoff2:

My choke is on the left of steering wheel beside dimmer for guage light illumination.

US spec 60's did not come with the HT stock, but like other I added one(OEM) the choke is ont he right hand side of the dash. Yes it hooks to the pedal

HT stock on fj62's in the US.........kinda odd.

Is it a hand throttle on gassers's too? I know for diesels it is but I understood it to be a the choke on gassers, which would not be hook directly to the pedal...no?

I added the hand throttle not too long ago (see, NocalFJ60 link). I had to buy the pull knob, bracket, and clip. All together it was $40. I have not used it for anything useful as of yet, but I like the addition, and it looks better than the plastic cover. It took about 2 min. to install. Very easy (thanks to landpimps pictures). As for cruise control, it is way too variable in speed to function correctly, plus a bit dangerous.

only 2 good uses(or only 2 I have used it for). seting idle for winching and bumping up the idle if you checking something on the motor. Cruise controll is not a good use ;)
