i know were the pics? i don't know how to post pics nor do i have a silver star at this time (all ready talked to woody). but what i was hoping is if some one could give me an idea of what i should try and get for my stock LWB fj-45 bed. here is a little bit about the bed. it's off of what i think was a '78 but is mounted on my '70, it's tan in color (justed painted), the flour was removed but the cross piceas are there, the tail gate is there but has a little rust not bad. missing 1 out of 4 hinges, the sides had rust and one side was repaired. i ended up making new side painel covers so you can't tell there was rust. over all i would say it in good shape. could be better with a little TLC. i love the way the truck looks with the bed but i really want to wheel the 45 more so i am going to build a smaller bed so i don't smash this one up. it's to nice to cut it and too nice to pull it off and let it set. i hope this kind of helps giving me a price on what i should ask for it.
if any one is interested in it pm me your number and i will text you a pic of the bed.
i'm in austin tx

thanks for any help

Hey thats thing is nice, you shouldn't have any problems selling it. Good luck with the sale

So you are looking for a value on just the Bed, as you will be keeping the the rest of the truck, correct?

yes and no
yes i would like to get a price on what ya'll think the bed is worth.

but if some offered me the right money for the whole rig i might let it go and buy a 40 to build.

i love the truck and have always wanted one. she runs and drives grate. two weeks ago i drove it 4hrs away to go fishing and 4hrs back and she did grate. runs darn good for a stock F motor. she will do 65mph all day with no probles and she can run up to 75mph but i don't like to. since the lone start round-up i have put 2300 miles on it.

@65mph she runs around 2200rpm and @75mph she runs closer to 3000rpm if i remember right.

when i built it i put in a set of 488 gears and drove it. i did not like it so i put in a set of 411. i run the Q-78 swappers (35.5x9x15). she loves to run down the road. i need to do power steering on it.

Edwin, if it were me? I'd toss that thing up on the top shelf at your shop and if you have an offer on the WHOLE long bed truck you'll have a MUCH better chance of selling it with the stock bed. Or Do like Whitey He built 2 beds if I recall.. One to wheel one to drive. You really gonna wheel that? Make it a shop truck! use it for pickup and delivery of parts with the phone # to the shop on the side. Write it off on taxes.. I've seen what happens to your wheeling rigs.
