What diff is this one?!?!?!?!

Guys I came across this diff. Seen very few opened up diff casings and this one I have never seen before. It's the rear diff of a rolled troopie.
Any ideas??

looks like the stock Limited Slip Differential. Came stock on the troopies.
 
If its a 4.11 ratio ,it should have 37 teeth on the ring and 9 on the pinion.
 
Looks like a open wheeler to me.
 
Guys thanks a lot. I thought that it might be an LSD but I never saw one. It has 41 teeth and don't remember on the pinion. Will be putting both front and rear on my extended 75 that I use for safari, since the donor car has both axles intact and will also be a nice upgrade to disks in the front!!

It's not a OEM locker ,so Id call it a open wheeler aka the Toyota LSD is so s*** I wouldn't class it as a LSD :D jj

1990 we got the lsd as std in 75s.but there useless lol
 
It will be 41:10 - the later diffs are 4.10 and not 4.11 (37:9).

It's an LSD Carrier... (imho) all LSDs are crap, just a glorified open diff.

The LSD is only there to stop the the rear left wheel from dragging through soft ground..
The one I had in my 73 series could spin both tyres in soft ground so it obviously had some torque going to that wheel.
 
yep toyots LSD's are :censor: useless as a traction aid, everyone I know thats ever re-shimmed them they only last 5 minutes and are sloppy open diffs again, the only advantage they really give you is they are a 4 spider and a bit stronger than a 2 spider open diff.

We've got guys out here that turn them into ball bearing or air over hydraulic lockers and the latter being the more preferable coz you can pull them on and release them under full load and torque :steer::hillbilly:
