Toyota did not use 1/8 NPT on the 22R engine!
BSPT threads.JPG

Toyota used 1/8 BSPT. 1/8 NPT is not compatible with 1/8 BSPT. I had to build an adaptor to get my 1/8 NPT oil pressure gage to fit the 22r engine. Included are a few of the engine components utilizing 1/8 BSPT. I hope this alleviates someone's frustration.

You can also purchase those adapters. I've used several "metric" to NPT adapters over the years.

Currently at los alamos napa for tire rotation and alignment stemming from a fun time back during cruise moab. Additionally getting new front bumpstops and brakes inspected

Do not use a degreaser containing lye or other metal hydroxide on aluminum!

These ingredients will eat/react with your nice aluminum parts. UGLY! These wheels were purchased this way. Good deal on the Dunlop tires though.
I wonder if that is a common product- I got a similarly corroded set of rims cheap for rollers
