Well s***. I just walked back to camp, left my 60 in the woods. Flat tire, busted winch and high centered.....I'm going to bed. :( this place is no joke.

Night wheeling murphy strikes again.

I washed mine to get rid of 6 months of tree sap and gook from the monsoons we had this summer and fall.

Hmmm, I figured the monsoons would've done you a favor and washed the tree sap off. :p

Today I finally finished relocating the battery box on the big rig. A job that I thought would take only 4-5 hours turned into 3 four-hour sessions. But now the batteries are neatly tucked between the frame rails in what used to be totally unused, open air space. Now I have both sides of the frame between the current fuel tanks and the rear tires to mount some auxiliary tanks for carrying more fuel with me on my impending move to the PNW.

Later tonight I will be finishing reassembling the front axle on the Gecko. I've been waiting on two things: To see if TrailField was going to warranty my axle and get it shipped back in quick fashion, and to drive downtown to the Toyota dealership to pick up the $2 snap ring I needed for putting the stock birf and shaft back together so they can be installed. Got the snap ring and haven't heard a peep from TG even though they've had the broken axle since Tuesday, so back in goes the stocker and right back out it will have to come when or if my warranty ever comes back. :bang:

Installed an OME medium/heavy lift on my lexus 2 weeks ago. Had some good help from Tone on the board here, and my bro in law from DC. Pretty stoked to finally be beginning the build on it. Netted about 3" front and rear, should clear 35's perfectly, no bumpers or sliders yet...

Cheers

SA-weeettt!! Looking good. Now we just need a warm Saturday to get those bushings swapped.

Picked up a used TJM bumper and some used metal tech- type sliders! Hopefully installing a rear Aussie locker by march. Getting closer to trail ready! Cheers...

That's what I was thinking, when this guy decides to build a truck he doesn't waste any time. The rig is looking great Joel.
