Replaced a hose and a tire on the 62. I had three basically new BFGs and an old one. The old one separated so I went to get another used tire. They didn't have anything in the 33 12.50 used so Frankie (Frankie' s Tires)hooked me up with a new 33 12.50 Yokahama geo lander A/t that he had ordered for someone who never came back in. It had been sitting at his shop for a long time so he made me ridiculous deal. I am a huge fan of the BFG but I would definitely consider the Yokahama's . It has a nice tread pattern and deep lugs, pretty aggressive for an AT. Either way when I get a new BFG Ill have an almost new full set and a good spare.

Still chopping body mounts to prep for 35s on the FJ next week.

Marshall - you ready to install an ARB and some gears? Oh, and a dual battery, and 8 switches and a fuse panel, and a ton of other stuff?

Pulled the engine and transmission from the 62... Now I have to decide: a 2fe with 5 speed or 4 speed or clean up/reseal/rework the 3fe and put a rebuilt a440 on it...

Had the door locks rebuilt for the 40, installed them and for the first time in 17 years I can eat in peace, not worrying of some arsecap is rummaging in my junk...I'll install a new rear bumper this Sunday... Pics to follow.

I have the 80 at my mechanic figuring out why she won't stay in low, what the major clunks are in the suspension, what the cel is about that refers to a post cat o2 sensor that does not exist... Then I'll figure out the seats, stuck-semi working lockers and roof leak... She will need a new transmission in the near future, as she crawls down hill without the parking brake engaged while in P..... FUN...

Installing Icon rear shock shin guards now - the paint is drying as I type.

Drew up a wiring diagram to have Marshall rewire the FJs accessories.

Wheeled at Gulches Sunday. Put a hole in a tire sidewall. Getting 35s Weds with a new TRE.

Southern Cruiser Crawl

So Picasa will automatically take a series of shots that it knows were taken in succession and create an animated GIF for you.

This was at Superlift. We were looking for the Rubicon Ridge trail and instead found a 5 diamond trail. I got up this, but nobody followed me. I circled back around to where the others could meet me on the loop.

After ownin her for 17 years, I finally have door keys for the 40.

Pressure washed the 40, I've got plenty of drain holes
I am installing a Craigslist bumper I got last year..
When I bought the 40 in 1997, the rear door sill was rotted, I welded in a piece of angle iron. The doors have been rubbing on it ever since. I took a grinder to the angle iron so they would close better, now they open up when I go over the slightest bump in the road. D'oh!

Figured out: which o2 sensor is bad, the viscous coupler is locked up, and why it won't stay in low...

I drove my 80 to get pizza! First drive in over a month. Small victory for me and yes I know it's sad and pathetic all at the same time.

Made it legal

After 46 years, the Stout has license plate lights. Took all weekend to track down a short, but all lights are finally working!

very nice one of these days get back on mine or sale.

Also got some mechanical work done to... I changed the Oil and played helper for David who adjusted the valves and installed a new valve cover gasket. She runs alot better but still has some issues.

One of these days I hope to get this fuel injected 3FE running as good as my 40's ancient F motor with the Trollhole carb. Got to be some vacuum leaks or something going on. That and I need to replace the fuel pressure regulator from what I've read on the 60 page.
