Continued work on the 60 today...plan was to replace the valve cover gasket and the rod inspection plate gasket, change spark plugs and oil and fuel filter....Well I hit a bump once I got the valve cover off and discovered the new gasket I had wouldn't work but luckily once the old one cleaned up it was good enough to put back on till the new one comes in on tuesday.....so then I started on the rod inspection plate...while taking the spark plug wires off I ripped 3 of them....of course no one stocks them...but that's why it pays to have 2 LC's....so I start takin the bolts off and one of the last ones is under the bracket that holds the alt. and A/C comp....so that one was put on hold.....went to the 40 and pulled the 3 wires off that were ripped on the 60...put in the new spark plugs and put on the wires....got it all back together and she fired up.....didn't accomplish everything I set out to do but atleast my cruiser fired up and she's drivable.....new PCV valve, wires and gasket should be here on tuesday....no one carries NGK plugs and toyota didn't have them in stock, so I put in Champion brand....has anyone had problem with american plugs?
