DDanStew replied to the thread Locker Question.I will add some images of this gov lock. So the original carrier had the ring gear holes redrilled Here are the spacers that go under the ring gear. Interesting bit of history being a mod done in the early 80s.

DI am pulling apart a Cruiser 3rd member to replace bearings and install a new Ring and pinion to remedy some noises Pulling it apart unfortunately i found it has the Gov Lock but what has perplexed me more is when i pulled the ring gear off it...
