@theazfj62 I didn't even know where those tires came from. How much do they run? I usually see them on old trucks around here. Usually with poor tread remaining lol.

Replaced the "face" on "Flower", after an application of Armor All on the grill and headlight bezels. When I tried the headlights I found the parking lights weren't working and probably didn't when I got it. So I put in some other bulbs laying around and PRESTO....parking lights!

Cleaned the old dried grease from the driver side window track and put new lubriplate grease and oiled the joints. Now the driver side window works like a champ....can't say the rest for the others though. I reset and got the "click" posted from another thread and now the driver side passenger door lock works fine but the other passenger door windows/locks and trunk are still KAPUT! I'm thinking it needs new actuators and cylinoids for the other doors!?!?!? :bang:

Round 2 of Marvel Mystery Oil: I got some gas and again added more of the recommended 4 oz - and drove around town and freeways. I SWEAR that stuff works. No rough idle, no rough and loud starts and the engine just PUUUUURRRRRS now when going freeway speed!!!

Steamed/ironed flat the warps out of the rear 1/4 panels for jack and washer and put them back in place. Also cleaned and Armor All'd the opposite side panel and noticed at one time the rear side window must have been broken. So out came the shop vac and old glass and debris was sucked out and an old relic pencil (remember those things???) was found where the gas line is (no more rattle from the back now). I added some new retaining clips to the panels to replace the tired factory ones and all SNAPPED solidly in place for a restored look.

I'm trying out a stinger on my ARB front bumper. Haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or not, figure I'll drive it this week and possible do a wheeling trip before making a final decision... what do ya'll think?

That second pic makes it look like it really sticks out there, it doesn't but the pic looks like it does, again, I'm not sold on it, but I'll try.

Forgive my ignorance, what is that for?

As an ethnic Norwegian, my FJ 62 fire truck served as a "float" in the Constitution Day (May 17) parade in Ballard (Seattle), WA. The "Fire Rooster" was crewed by Doug Warne, who has hosted a Norwegian music radio show for 52 years, plus his granddaughter and friend on top. Inside, Tor Slinning, his wife and kids threw candy to the thousands of enthusiastic Landcruiser fans - Norwegian dance musing blaring from the siren/PA system.

Prior to the event, the truck visited family friends a few blocks away for a birthday party. Photos were taken between half a dozen rides around the neighborhood.

The truck is always a head-turner and smile-generator, but Saturday was an extraordinary experience.

Final got my cruiser back from the shop. It spent nearly 5 weeks getting the skid plate and some leaks taken care of. Got to take the kid put for ice cream and do 0-70 mph is 7 seconds. Did I mention it has a V8 which equals a lot of fun !!

My weekend started Friday morning and continues with the Victoria Day holiday today. So far I've installed a wired wagon headlight harness and Hella H4 headlights, rebuilt the passenger side knuckle with all new seals and bearings and installed a new birfield and caliper on that side. I've torn down the drivers side knuckle and have it half back together. Will finish that today and then bleed the brakes, oil change, diff fluid change and rotate the tires. Hopefully next weekend I can have some fun with the cruiser instead of wrenching on it.
