Just fits behind the grill and clocked the compressor output down, almost a straight shot to the lower input on the intercooler. Will be doing some plumbing this weekend.

Figured out why my floor boards rusted out. The previous owner must not have made sure the side drains were free of debris.

To be fair, I knew this when I bought the truck in 2016. can only use duct tape to hold the water out for so long. Figured it’s about time I get to fixing it. I’ll post updates as I go. Figure this will at least seal up the cab and I can get to the other rust later.

Monsterlined. The color name is 'get hammered'. It looks fine from ~12+ feet. Thanks.

Would love to see more pics of your rig - what color is that? Are rockers in bedliner or black paint?

Believe it or not the paint is Rustoleum rattle can Bright White.
The rockers are painted Semi Gloss Black.

I plan to raptor line it by mixing the same Rustoleum bright white in their clear kit. I will probably keep the black and white color scheme. I dig it!

Nice, obviously from a distance but it fooled me. I'm in need of a DIY re-paint solution on my white 60 and may have to copy that.

I like Rustoleam Appliance epoxy, nice and hard. But it only comes in white, black, and sometimes metallic stainless if you can find it. I did my 4runner wheels in it, they are holding up well.

She is definitely far from a trailer queen. She is rough in places but I still love her. I bought it to drive, camp, overland, and all that. Got some frame repair coming up. WoooHooo!

Nice Runner! We had a 93 Sr5 4Runner 5 speed with the dog 3.0. Drove the hell out of it 250k miles. Then we moved into an 05 4Runner Sport with the 4.7 v8 currently has 200k miles and still chuggin'.. Toyota runs in our blood!

Put in a few late nights this week and got the intercooler, insulating, and new injectors project basically done and running. Still need to mount the new trans cooler, get the front end together and get the trans oil level back to full. Can't wait to test it out but have a dang birthday party tomorrow we have to travel too.

Finished the engine swap to a 1HD-T in time for Rubithon in a couple of weeks.

Last weekend I finished up my carpet kit that I got from @tonka az
And it came out better than I could have hoped. I also re-replaced all the o-rings in the ac system that @CenTXFJ60 already attempted to get working again. Still no luck. Maybe I’ll charge the system and see if I can find the leak that way.

Also noticed an accumulation of sludge in the coolant reservoir. Fun Fact: I flushed the system replaced the rad, water pump and hoses not long ago. PO used gallons of leak stop.

But maybe I just need to stop smashing the O-rings?

Got the cruiser done and back on the road, the intercooler project was a huge success. Temps are much lower even when sitting and idling. I was worried about throttle repsonse and lag since it's a pretty big cooler and lots more volume, but theres no change in fact with the new injectors it's running better than ever and starts instantly hot or cold. Underhood temps are lower too since wrapping the manifold, downpipe and turbo.

The weird thing is I'm getting up to 9 lbs of boost if I stay in it, 6 psi under normal driving, and I didn't change anything with the wastegate. What I did find when disassembling was a kink in the tube for the boost gauge right at the fitting in the charge pipe and I think I haven't been getting proper readings. I was always amazed at the power I was getting with only 4 lbs of boost, but the reality is I was getting more than that. There's no pinging so I'm going to leave it for now. It's all hills around here, big hills, and there's a 4-5 mile grade heading west out of town. Pre turbo it was 3rd gear all the way up, now I can cruise 65 in fourth up that hill with no down shifting. Boost comes on early and it'll give me a couple lbs even when under a light load like going uphill. This whole project was so worth it, I could never go back to a stock engine.

Next step will be megasquirt or similar stand a lone system to even out the fueling.
