Let's see, Friday I received my 12v LED Relay from China. I did a little electronics work and made a harness. Now my exterior lights (except for headlights) are all LED .

Turn signals work great and all the other lights (side markers, brake, parking lights) are Fantastic!

Saturday and Sunday I tore into the front of the engine. I am in the process of replacing my radiator (went for a CSF 2708), and decided to go after the water pump, a bunch of hoses and some parts of the thermostat.

Broke the water temperature sensor in half, so that was nice. Still having trouble getting the radiator out. Seems there are two bolts (one per side) that have the bolt head behind the AC Condenser.

Installed my new radiator and finished buttoning everything back up! Gotta fill with fluids this week. I bought a newish oem tundra battery from a local guy for $40. It fits wonderfully and holds a charge well, but the terminals are on the wrong sides. I had to flip it around and do some magic. I think it'll work...

Vermont Overland Rally.

Great roads to explore, fun people and I got to do some real wheeling for the first time with our truck. Still has the stock sacked out suspension and small tires but I was very impressed with what it could do, quality of balance and traction and smoothness whilst in technical sections.

Can't wait to get the rest of the OME Light/Medium installed. I did get the shocks in before trip. The originals were done!

Found a low mile 2f to replace my tired 2f. Now just a matter of the swap!

Did you have any issues getting the top bolts out that hold the radiator in place ( they have double-insulation grommets) and the bolt heads are covered by the AC Condenser?

If you did face this issue, what was your preferred technique for getting the bolts off without having to take off the AC Condenser?

Looks awesome and clean btw!

Ya, seems that if you don’t use your 8274, you loose it. was purchased brand new 3.5 years ago, never needed to use it. Tried pulling out the free spool clutch release handle and it wouldn’t budge.
So I asked MUD. pulled it apart and this what if found. WTF??????

What a pain in the Ass. New part arrived in 2 days.
Removed all original wire cable as well.

Seems to me something was not sealed right from the factory, surprising for sure.
I have had a few 8274's over the years and have never had this issue.

Thanks! You have to move the ac condenser to get to those bolts. It's not so bad really, there are 4 bolts for the ac condenser. The grill snaps in place except for one screw. The condenser will kinda hang in front and is kind of in the way. I ended up removing the top support and vertical supports. I tore pretty deep into the front end this summer. I had a LOT of work to do up there. I suppose in the spring I'll go through the ac system and replace all the lines and finally update to a modern gas system.

I just posted a couple messages toward the end of this thread for how I address those upper radiator bolts...

I did use Jute in the cardio area and upfront. The carpet kit came with jute but I added a layer in the front.
With sound deadener, jute and carpet it’s quiet....for a crusher.

So I will start the front section of carpet in the next couple of weeks and keep going over it in my head, particularly around the getting the cut around the shifter right. did you just cut it small and slowly make it bigger until it was perfect? Yours looks great.

Looking at the CSF site. All their radiators for our years are black, yours seems to be aluminum.

That exactly how I did it. I started by making sure the drivers side floor was in the right position. Made a small cut for the gear shifter (just enough to get the shaft through) and dropped it down. Did the same for the 4x4 select.
Made very very small cut increments from there checking that all other parts of the carpet were still properly aligned.
Took quite a bit of time but I was deathly afraid of over cutting.

The hardest part is the transfer case 4x4 selector, particularly the lower passenger side area. Just remember leave enough to stuff under he boot.
